I'm a freshman miler (going to be a sophomore, transferring schools after injury plague at current institution.) pretty decent in high school. injured every season, managed a sub 4:30 1600 my sophomore year, sat out all of junior year, only ran 15-teens in xc, 1:57 800 and 4:20.1x in the 1600 my senior year. In high school I never ran more than 30 miles per week, most likely 20-25 and didn't do weight training either. Ran cross this past year and ran 1 xc meet (8k) in the low 26's. Sat out the rest of the year with injuries.
I really want to do well at my new school, what sort of things should I do to get my 1500/mile time down, what things should I do to avoid injury again, etc.
Totally lost, any help is greatly appreciated!
