Dream Mile: First-ever multi-sub 4 high school race?

I should have mentioned McGorty as a major contender as well...

1. Ben Saarel 3:58.7

2. Bernie Montoya 3:58.9

3. Andres Arroyo 3:59.3

If one or more go sub-4, I don't think it will be far under 4. My guess as to how the race plays out will be that they will go into the bell lap needing to run at least a 58 to get under 4.

Hard to say who will be at their best for the race. Cheserek has to be the favorite, but if he waits for the final 400, he could very well be beaten. Here's hoping they all have a great race and we see at least one go sub-4.

Races like that rarely live up to the hype. The only reason Lukas ran 3:59 was because he grabbed the race by the balls with 600m left. With all the guys who can run 54-55 last laps, it's possible lap 3 could really fall off. Hopefully someone will step up.

Ben Saarel wins it all by picking people off (who went out too hard).
