Sean Mcgorty had the most remarkable cross country season this year for all high schoolers. He went undefeated in every race except FootLocker Nationals when he gave Cheserek a run for his money and ran a dominating 14:47 in Virginia's State course, which is of the hardest most hilliest around in that region of the U.S. He also posted 3 sub 14 minute 5k's. 14:43, 14:47, and 14:28 (Footlocker Southeast Regionals).
Indoor went undefeted except for Nationals. Every mile race he ran, he ran 4:11 and singe handedly ran a 8:55 3200 race at districts on a very flat track by himself.
Outdoor ran 8:46 3200m opener and won by 1:09 seconds with 20mph winds and dominated the penn relays mile and by doing so proved to everyone that he can hang with the fast milers with blistering 800m speed, like the likes of Ben Malone.
What's more intriguing is the effortless all of his races look and to me, he's the smoothest high school runner I have ever seen.
He's ready for a sub 4 minute mile.
