Many times I see parents of young athletes criticized for "living out their dreams" through their kids participation in sports. Just exactly what is the difference in being a supportive parent and being an overly zealous one? Would seem that for a child to succeed in most any sport (track, football, basketball, etc) that a parents involvement in setting goals and installing a strong work ethic would be quite helpful from an early age. However, I read about parents who push too hard. What is the right amount of encouragement to provide to ensure a child develops properly?
