of course Pippen will say that Lebron is better. Hey maybe Jordan won so much and had such great stats was because Pippen opened up the lane and spread the defense out for him and bailed him out on defense.

This seems an odd opinion. I think LeBron is definitely GOAT - in both contexts. But generally people are impressed with LeBron's all-around play, especially his passing, whereas Jordan is seen more as a pure scorer (when compared to LeBron).

Huh? Its completely the opposite. I give Jordan the edge in 1 on 1. I even give some current players the edge over Lebron. But Lebron is more the complete player. Passes better, rebounds better, better making his teammates play better.

Lebron has played 10 years in the NBA

For Jordans 1st 10 years, he averaged more points, a much better shooting%, more steals, only slightly fewer assits and rebounds. He also was at 1 blocked shot per game. Jordan did it all, lest you forget. You all think Lebron is a better all around player, based on what stat?

Watching them both, LBJ better passer and rebounder. Jordan quicker, but not as good a shooter. Jordan better defender, but a ballhog. Jordan more competitive, but not as good a teammate.

Jordan was probably the better man to man defender. Another reason he probably wins one on one. But that is way overemphasized in basketball. The other basic component to defense that is just as important is a player helping elsewhere off his man. Lebron is very good in that. Incidentally so also was Bird and Magic even though they were criticized for being mediocre defensive players.

kobe bryant is better than both of them. lebron james' name should not even be spoken in the same sentence as kobe or jordan though.

Kobe only won 2 championships when he was the #1 player on his team. The other 3 times, Shaq was the #1 player. That will never be said of Jordan or LeBron.
