I guess she got tired of breaking her own records and decided to go for a new one.

doubt it...she is running pre
link please if so
She's definitely running the 5k at PTF.
The American junior woman's 5K record is 15:43.31by Laurynne Chetelat in 2009. The American high shgool girls' 5K record is 15:52.88 by Caitlin Chock in 2004.
Does Mary Cain take down both records?
She will get the A-standard.

15:52 is equivalent to 9:53 for 2 miles.
15:43 is equivalent to 9:47.
She's capable of breaking both, but maybe not in her first ever track 5k.
15:17.00
Moser ran 15:11 at oxy last week.
Cain beat her by a second indoors over 3k.
Cain probably cant hang over 5k, but she'd be in it long enough with a pacer to demolish the HSR.
i think she'll definitely give the A standard a go. she is definitely sub 15:30 if the field runs that fast. i don't think she has as good of a chance to make the team in the 5k as she doesnt in the 1500 though, so she may not specifically go for 15:18 because she "doesnt race the clock"
no one cares
u wot m8
Cain is also running the 800 at Pre (for a HS record or A standard?).
I think I'd die laughing if she sits and kicks on Savinova.
Seriously though, based on Cain's 800 and 1500 races you get 56.00 speed for the 400, 15:20 for the 5k, and 32:42 for the 10K.
