I just bought a treadmill and want to start training a little harder for the summer. And by harder, I mean putting in more miles. Currently I run about 2-3 days a week and do boot camp classes 2-3 days per week.
Right now I could probably knock out a 23 minute 5k. In my peak (10 years ago) I went 18:45. So not looking to knock anything out of the park. I just want to get back into 'good' 5k/10k/half-marathon shape. I know I need to put in more miles (20? 30? 40? per week).
Anybody have any advice? Or know of a summer training program I can check out?
I know I'll get a lot of sarcastic comments, but this is an honest post. Thanks in advance for the help.
No races planned for the summer yet. I just want to start building up over the next few weeks.
