A while back, I released a free booklet based on Lydiard training for young runners called Basic Training Principles, and it was fairly well-received and popular here on Letsrun. Now, I'm very happy to announce the publication of my first book, Modern Training and Physiology for Middle and Long-Distance Runners. Modern Training is a spiritual successor to Basic Training Principles—it is a longer, more thorough look into the basic question of training: "how do I improve my race times?"
You can read more about the contents and the topics covered at my website, here:

You can find the book itself on Amazon.com (also its international variants), and I am hoping to have it stocked at locally-owned running stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area within the next few weeks. If YOU are a running store owner (or other retailer who would like to carry copies), send me an email and I can ship copies directly to you at a significant. Coaches can get a bulk discount (for 10+ copies )as well. If you really want to help me out, read the book and post a review on Amazon!
If you're not up for paying for a book, all of my previous publications, including my Renato Canova articles and a .pdf version of Basic Training Principles, are available on my website under the "Booklets, Articles, and Publications" tab. Enjoy!
