Since Rojo is the official Cas Loxsom bandwagon leader, let's don't make a mountain of a molehill. Loxsom is a good 'kid' and things are being exaggerated here.
Why is Cas the only 800 runner that can split sub 45 (other than Rudisha) that does not sit and kick the field?
Rojo, I respectfully disagree. A "good kid" doesn't diss his competitors the way that Cas did towards Villanova at the Penn Relays with his infamous "screw them" comment. At most schools such unsportsmanlike conduct would have earned a trip to the woodshed with the coach. Not at Penn State.
With talent comes the responsibilty to carry yourself and the school you represent with a sense of respectful admiration and honor towards your competition.

Last year after Bayer won the NCAA 1500 he was asked what he was thinking in the last 200. He said, "Stop cutting me off you a$$hole," in reference to Miles Batty.
Does this make Bayer a terrible person?

I'm going to hazard a guess that you have never been successful at anything. I don't care whether you're a businessman or an athlete, you won't get anywhere by having "respectful admiration" for your competition.

Sure you would. If Cas was caught in the showers with little boys you'd still think he was OK.
I've asked Cas for years, in person and on here, to learn to pace better. If he ever chooses to do so, he will do amazing things.
Pacing has nothing to do with who he is as a person. Cas Loxsom is an A+ person. If you are ripping on comments he "made" drawn from an article that you believe to be true, then you have never been directly involved in a situation where an reporter twists words to create a story. If you've never been interviewed, then you are a piss-ant and should probably not comment.
