It would probably be fine. I have relatives that are farmers. They leave fresh eggs on the counter all the time and eat them. There is no refrigerator in the hen house either right?
It is reccomended to store eggs at 4C because a small fraction may contain Salmonella and the cold will help retard growth of the bacteria in the odd contaminated egg.
Also there is no real reason *not* to store them at 4C.
