I am currently training for the fall xc season. I will be running the 8k, and my time from last fall was around 30 minutes. Since January, my weekly training has been thus: Monday- 3x Mile on treadmill (I'm in Massachusetts and it's been cold for a long time!) at 12mph w/ 30 seconds recovery. Tuesday- 12x150 meters sprints w/ very short recovery. Wednesday- Easy hour long effort. Thursday- 8x400 meters or 16x200 meters at near maximum effort. Friday- Easy hour long effort. Saturday- 12x150 meter sprints. Sunday- Easy hour long effort.
I am looking to get down to around mid 27's come fall. I am planning on switching my mile repeats to a loop oustside, and do 5. What do people think of this current schedule?
