I was looking back on what the best seniors this year ran freshman to senior year, and I'm calling it right now that Sean Mcgorty will be have the best college and beyond career of any of them. He ran a 4:26 freshman year, to 4:16, to 4:09, to 4:03 and possibly faster by the end of the year. That progression is beautiful. It bodes way better than guys like Burcham who started out at like 4:13 and hardly improved. Sean also started from like 16:30 to 15:30, to 14:55, to 14:28. His coach should get a medal. Guys like Cheserek are done too. He has gotten almost better since sophomore year. It makes me worried for the freshman now running like 4:11 and 9:15. 9 times out of 10, the 4:30 freshman will have better college careers.
