I've been through most of the SSRI drugs, and while some may give you a happy buzz, you pay a price for it. I'm now 48, running and racing again after 20 years, and really proud of my condition.
I fought chronic depression for many years. I'm now using wellbutrin, which does help concentration, but not much else. The problem with most SSRIs is weight gain -- you never feel full; sexual side effects -- premature issues; sometimes yo-yo like effects. After 10 years, I was no place better than when I started.
I agree with others - do your homework on this. Take vitamins, keep exercising, and focus on a healthy lifestyle. The SSRIs can provide some temporary relief, but that's it. Take control of your life and focus on the positive. I know easier said than done, but you can do it.
