Yeah, this is hard to believe with that small of a class and all sixth graders to boot. More believable if you threw some 7th graders into the mix. Here are the results of the largest class in the IL state middle school finals for 7th grade last year. Only 18 boys in 6 or 7 grade ran 5:10 or better. This meets previous winners include Lukas Verzbicas, Jorge Torres, Kevin Havel (holds boys 7th grade record of 4:31.75)
