I can tell I'm absolutely addicted to sugar... I go through mounds of candy bars, cookies, etc. The problem is even when I try to keep it out of the house, I end up caving in and buying it at a convenience store, free samples, etc. I know this is pretty harmful to my health and to my running and I have a little bit of weight to lose, no doubt not budging because of how much sugar/junk I eat. I've read around and it seems like one way to quit the addiction is to basically quit carbs.. but as a runner, it's probably not a good idea to cut down that drastically on carbs. Any suggestions/tips/thoughts from those of you who beat the addiction? Sometimes for a couple days I can cut down my intake and start to feel better, and then bam I end up eating a cookie and craving more and more and ruin the day and start back from ground zero.
