I wonder how long a streak of marathons someone has started and finished in under 3 hours.
If they started one and dropped out the streak would be over.
I'd guess someone has had a streak of maybe about 50 or 60?
I don't know why but I'd be curious how long someone has maintained such a streak.

Try googling Doug kurtis..not sure if he is the one but has a ton of sub 2:20's...
The longest span between first and last sub 3 is 38 yrs, but my guess is Doug Kurtis has the longest consecutive streak. http://www.arrs.net/TR_SSpan.htm.
