1600 meter time prediction 4/25/2013 9:56AM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
I recently ran a track workout and wanted to know what a time prediction would be for an upcoming 1600 meter outdoor race. Heres the workout:

4x1000 meters in 3:08-3:11
4x400 meters in 70-71 seconds
2x200 meters in 29-30 seconds

Let me know what you think!

Like 2:30 between the 1k's, 90 seconds after the 400's and 60 seconds after the 200's

this was one workout? how long between the 3 sets? seems like a crazy hard workout unless it was done at 5-10k pace. but in that case it isn't a great mile predictor.

i'll just guess 4:30 then

what's your PR?

It was just one set, four 1000's, four 400's and two 200's and then that was it. And my PR for the 1600 is 4:40 but it was during the cross country season with no speed work. Now i have a whole winter of training alot of speed work
