Any idea how many of the guys on this list were taking thyroid medication?
Read a few studies yesterday how lactate metabolism nearly doubles (in rats!) with thyroid "support". That would be a massive benefit in a race where lactate levels are extremely high.
I'm assuming almost zero of them would be taking it in high school.
