Anybody else watch that?
dude is pissed. I love this guy. Calls suspects a disgrace to Chechnya and goes on a sick pro-American rant. It's often immigrants like this who truly appreciate whats great about this country.

That uncle is great. Good for him.
I am proud to be an American. I am liberal. I love my country and served in the US military for six years.

Do liberals say that? To college professors say that? Does Al Sharpton say that? Nancy Pelosi? Michelle and Barrack Obama? Chris Matthews?
the sad answer is "NO" "HELL NO".
Not for nothing, ... but what the heck else was the uncle going to say???
"Those crazy kids. Yeah, we've known all along they had some strong anti-American ideas. Heck, the whole family does. Oh well."
I'm not saying I specifically DON'T believe the uncle, but to so quickly and thoroughly assume that he is a "great American" is assuming a little too much.
Tsarni for prez!
Love this. Losers are the reason for the world's problems.
"What I think was behind it: Being losers," he said.

From one uncle to another, "Hurrah!"
Seriously, what did you expect him to say, "Down with America", or "Death to the infidels!"?
I had the same thoughts while listening to the uncle. I tend not to swallow input hook line and sinker without at least asking if there might be a reason for the person to be lying, and he certainly has a lot of them.
One thing that leads me to believe he might be sincere, though, is that he kept his family away from the terrorists'. If this is true, it indicates he knew they were trouble and didn't share their values.
Too bad he didn't realize what they were capable of and informed someone in advance.
Let's not turn this into a left vs right thread. We've removed those posts. Keep this thread on the uncle.
Politcal posts can go in this thread:
I trust him about as far as I can throw him.

How far can you throw him?

And how do we correlate distance thrown v trust?
Well, think about it this way. He can probably throw the guy like 3 feet if he starts from a bear hug. And often when we want to indicate magnitude, we use our thumb and forefinger to indicate small distances or magnitude, or our hands if it is a larger amount.
So he trusts that guy like 3 feet between his hands. That's a pretty good amount. He trusts him.
The interview demonstrates just how idiotic our news 'journalists' are. There were some really stupid questions and the guy called them out on it.

Who did I offend with my honest scepticism, that led to my original post
getting deleted?
Yeah, he's a real model citizen. Did a great job looking after his brother's kids who are half a world away from their parents.
But as usual the dum\bfu\cks here are lapping up all the nationalist rhetoric and completely ignoring what's actually going on.
