Mine has gone away completely. I rested it for close to 2 months as per my doctor's orders. I slowly worked back to my usual mileage and haven't had a flare up yet. I have been running again for 3 months or so.

Best option available, IMO, is King brands PLantar bfst wrap. Worked great for me and I have only had it for 3-4 weeks. It stimulates the bodies natural ability to heal. Avoid stretching as you are tearing the fascia every time you stretch it. I had "moderately severe" (as classified via MRI) PF for 1yr, and after trying just about everything, the 2 things that cured it were 1) Birkenstocks 24/7 outside of running, and 2) Wearing the same pair of flexible racing flats (Brooks T7s) for every single run. The PF finally healed (thanks to wearing the same consistent running shoes) and stretched out, thanks to the constant "gripping" of the toes on the forefoot "bar" of Birkenstocks. I recommended the Birks to someone else recently (and they worked for her too), and countless stories on the net about them helping others. Well worth the money.
