Great last lap, Hill made it interesting.
great last 200 thought ryan hill had him, but after that race id say that the 3k is gonna be all kituka
Lalang did what?
2:58.0 thru 3/4 evely with a little break in there?
What were guys thinking
Looked like a UW set up with no takers
Lawi is the bomb. When Hill closed slightly he closed it out. The next Lagat?
Great another goddamn foreigner take resources from citizens of the USA. Just like those anchor babies
Lalang should be deportee asap
What the heck happened to O'Hare? He looked uncomfortable from the gun. That surge he put in didn't help things.

USA!! USA!! USA!!
Lawi is so cool. Great race for him and it was sick to see Hill try to run him down. What happened to O'Hare? So much hype.

He just won the second title in an NCAA record time. What you gonna do about that you hater? Like him or hate him, his career is just getting started!
Like him or hate him the Kenyans on top. And he gonna shine homie, until his heart stops. Go head envy Lawi. He's tracks MVP. And he ain't going nowhere. So you should get to know him.
Sorry.

Hill deserves some pretty props. He has been consistently good, beyond the praise he gets here.
Lawi's face when Hill was gaining on him was priceless.
While his NCAA accomplishments are impressive, he will have a tougher time of it @ the pros. Let me explain:
1. He is not a US citizen or even a green card holder as far as I know. He only arrived here in December 2010. Therefore even if he was a green card holder NOW he doesn't have enough time to compete for the US in 2016.
2. He will be forced to compete against his countrymen for a spot on the Kenyan 2016 roster. That can always be a crapshoot.
3. Where is that other Kenyan from Liberty now? Overage. He will be too old by 2016.
Therefore most Kenyans that come here and dominate NCAAs are at a disadvantage. But, they do get a good education. This includes Peter Rono's kid who runs for Arkansas?
So - in a away American born runners get the advantage of running against Kenyans in the collegiate level. This helps them, mentally, if they go pro and face other Kenyans over in Europe.
THe added benefit is they don't have to worry about the Kenyans impeding their path at USATFs since they will never become citizens in time (exception of Lagat). It's actually pretty good setup for American runners in that regard.
And since most of these Kenyans are closer to their mid-20s, by the time they do become citizens they are just has-beens (except for Lagat).
When you have guys like Lalang in the race, it encourages guys like Eric Jenkins to step up and go for it. Nothing bad about that. (Except potential DQ)

Peter Rono's kid is American.
