I just looked through pictures and it was nasty!

the footing was terrible the entire way.. worse road conditions I've encountered. The 5K was alright, Pump & Run was slippery the whole way
Anyone know if there will be changes to the course for 2015?
Think there's any chance we get something besides THE SAME cotton white T-shirt?
Why would any RD makes changes to the event? He makes a boatload provided the bare minimum. Everything is the same every year to allow the least amount of prep work. No need to work at gathering goodies for the swag bag (oops I forgot there is no swag bag), no need to look for sponsors, no need to upgrade to a tech Tee, no need to upgrade the course or provide and accurate measured course....and all because you ego lunkheads are still going to sell it out within days. RD is sitting on a golden egg and loving life.
It's a USATF certified course

I think some minor improvements could go a long way for this event.
Also, given its popularity, does anyone know why they stop at 1000 registered? Is it the lifting portion that limits the field size?
bump
Fingers crossed for a tech t shirt for the $75 entry fee. Simple math: $75 x 1,000 = $75,000. I usually use those shirts as a rag. Winning prize for the race is another rag
Does the race director actually care about this race? It seems like he is content doing the bare minimum and has no desire to improve. I would understand if he were handcuffed or limited with regards to The Arnold Sports Festival, but it just seems like a little effort could really enhance the experience for all involved

I just did the regular 5k and it was a joke. No awards at all. Couldn't even get results until hours later on-line. A cheap white t-shirt and overpriced. Definitely a race I would never go back to.
Needs improvement.... terrible organization for an expensive 5K. No awards for either race

The reward is hanging out with a few thousand roided up meatheads after the race wandering around aimlessly wasting their money on the next big jar of muscles they can buy that will make their heart stop beating by the time they are 50.

An awfully cynical viewpoint... and unfortunately it's accurate.
