Going to be a intense finish anyway you look at it
Going to be a intense finish anyway you look at it
D. Kimetto has finally taken off! Meet me at the finish guys!
Big break - down to #1 as leader. Sorry, can't read Kanji to know who's who. Pack of 4 about 4 sec behind, then 3 more about 10 seconds back. 1:46:02 at 35K
That is Dennis Kimetto 2:04:16 guy. Looks like he made the move just before 35km. He will win by at least a minute!
Wow, Michael Kipyego, Sally Kipyego's brother is catching up with Kimetto!
Kimetto's win is not in danger. Kipyego has no challenge for silver. James Kwambai and the others have melted away. Only two guys closely following eacch other.
Whos the lead women in tokyo marathon. Is it aberu kebede?
The last I saw at about 10km, there were two, one of whom was Aberu. I don't know if anything has changed.
Update??
Was winning time 2:06:49 or 2:06:40? Didn't quite get it.
All the way from Portugal, thank you "japanese races" for the split updates and Kapcherop for the comments later in the race.
Dennis Kimetto..... 14:32 (5k) from 35 to 40 km...! Insane! CR!
Thanks

You need KeyHoleTV
http://www.v2p.jp/video/english/index.htmlYou might need to create a username and password when you install it. Then start KeyHoleTV and select the channel, in this case, ITC(then some Japanese writing) as mentioned above. Quality isn't great, but better than nothing if you want to watch the race.
How Irina Mikitenko do. IS it a personal worst like 2:26:44?

Remember Dennis Kimetto trains with Geoffrey Mutai and can split a 14:10 when he has company. Kipyego did unbelievably well too...maybe 14:37.
aberu kebede won the womens race in 2:25.33
