frank horwill is still coaching huw lobb, his ideas (the 5 pace theory) were adapted by coe and aouita as well as most of the morrocan and algerian system. his system called for 1/16 rest for 10k pace example 4 x 2 miles with 200 meter rest, 1/8 rest for 5k pace example 4 x 1 mile with 200 rest. 1/4 rest at 3k pace, example 16 x 400 with 100 meter rest, ,1/2 rest for 1500 pace example 3 x 1k with 500 meter rest, equal rest for 800 pace example 6 x 400 with 400 meter rest, double the rest for 400 pace example 8 x 200 with 400 meter rest.

Hi, could you explain Pre's interval training as you have it listed here, for example on Tues evening: p.m. 8 x 400 with 200 recovery, 4 x (600,400,300,200,100 with 200 recovery, all @ 68 400 pace).

It means do eight 400's and jog 200 meters inbetween each one for recovery, then you do 600, recover 200, 400, recover 200, 300, recover 200, etc., (4 sets) and the 400's are in 68 seconds.
i wonder if pre ran with heavy shoes for his training.
People were sarcastic as frig in 2004, their sarcasm is way better than today's though
I think that it was a combination of things on that night that lead to the tragic accident.
I believe he was avoiding a vehicle. How many times has he driven on that road. He knew that road well. I wonder what all he would have accomplished if his life wasn't cut so short.
