Yup, they do.. Had the pleasure to partake in them a few times.. Maybe even less than 5.5 km (sorry, we don't use miles where I come from). They run really really slow.

Are the workouts usually redlined or for the most part are they controlled efforts? Could you give us an example or a workout for a 1500 meter runner in the group?
Aden makes all his runners heel strike, so they get injured less, apparently

Is he in to the minimalist shoe/barefoot running stuff?

pretty such thats not true, look at makhloufi, driouch and kaki on google images, none of them heel strike...
If anyone had any info on Aden's weight training program, it would be much appreciated.
Regarding weight programme , I've seen them this year in Addis Ababa doing free weight with lots of drills between the stations plus jumping with pars. Twice to three times a week .
Just for the record coach Jama aden is not coaching Hamza Driouch, and Al-Garn. Al-Garni was not in Jama's group for the last two years. As of April 30, 2013 Driouch and Al-Garni are With Coach Abdelkader Kada who was Hicham El Guerrouj's coach.
Jama's top athletes are Taoufik, Souleiman, Genzeba Dabiba, Bala, Hamada, Mukhtar Mohamed, Kaki, and Ahmed Ismail. Kaki and Ismail are back to Jama in early this year. Jama's assistants are Abdi Bile former 1500m World Champion, and his brother Ibrahim aden.

Any idea when Driouch is racing?
Where does Jama Aden get his guys? He's got athletes from countries that usually aren't that great (Djibouti, Sudan and Egypt for example). How is talent developed in those places? Is mr. Aden involved in coaching them from a young age? How does he keep track of new talent in those countries?
Jama Aden is obviously one of the top middle distance coaches. I wouldn't be surprised if Souleiman shines this
world championships.
Anyone interested in naming everyone on this team picture? (Makhloufi and Kaki are obviously missing)

Hi, may I have the contact of Jama?
- A very concerned 800m runner that has been trying to improve for the past 2 years.
So if his group just does simple repeats and slow recovery running, what separates this group from others? What makes his runners so much more prolific even if they are doing the same work?

Bump. Anyone else have any info on jamas training?
Bump for a very timely training source on Aden's philosophy.
When I saw the thread bumped again I got excited thinking someone had some info to share. Guess not...

How many of Aden's athletes have been caught doping or are obvious dopers? Off my head I can think of Makhloufi, Driouch, Genzebe. Any other?
vitamin injections = major keys
