Just a note here folks, in the future when we can find links to Euromeets that are out there, let's be extra diligent to post them. LRC is not liable for user posted content per USA LAW.
THA RUPPAH!!
How did the last few laps play out? Anyone else have a chance or rupp all the way?
wow - rupp has taken another step up with his mile and this.
That's a 8:03 two mile.
On any given day he could the best distance runner on the planet.
1000m coming up!
26 first lap
In Europe, on the Supersport channel, it sounds like we saw the exact same feed. I only saw at most 3 laps too with most being long and high jump. It looks like Flotrack Pro is only paying for rights to replay the stadium feed and not film it themselves. I wonder how much they made by playing a copy of someone elses feed?
1) Soleman - 2:17.07
1000m win by Souleiman 1.49 for 800.
Centro 6ish
Souleiman only one to go with pacemakers.
Lewondowski fast final 300 for second.
Centrowitz was fifth or sixth.
Olympic 1500m champion Makloufi was seen in the audience congratulating his training partner Souleiman to the win.
Crazy fact: El G's 1500 pace was 2:17/km

It converts to 8:03 only if one assumes he would have continued at the same pace for another 218m. Unfortunately, that assumption is implausible. More realistic is 8:06, which is still highly impressive.

If so, then a 3:45 1500 would be a 4:01.5 miles, not a4:03 mile; the 1.08 rule yields a still-impressive 8:06 and the more aggressive 1.079 gives about 8:05.7.

Second "crazy fact:" Lagat was right on him.

Yours doesn't sound very crazy
How about a splash screen for Rupp?
Almost WR at 1500m by a swede, crazy!

third "crazy fact" they were both doped
You're right. My point was (sarcastically), Lagat does not receive the respect he has earned. El G is a legend and Lagat was right on him.....
