I would absolutely love to see Lindgren's record go down but by a legitimate contender. Everybody knows that Cheserek is a least 19 years old, maybe older? He's more than capable of going 8:20 something but I will never, ever, ever respect his time as an official US High School Record! A. He's not American. B. He's at least 19 years old. C. (ATA) - "Absurd Tactical Advantage" Sure, Lindgren has Ron Clarke in the race but he actually led most of the way on an 11 lap to the mile ply-board loop! Is Cheserek going to take the race out ahead of Legat tomorrow? - I Think Not. This is a BS set up and should not be counted as a US High School Record! |

Are you kidding? Everybody knows that although East Africans dominate distance running at the elite level, Europeans and Americans are the dominant force at junior level. Africans are late bloomers so to speak. They get so tird of being beaten by Americans and Europeans at the junior level that they work hard to improve as adults. Americans and Europeans have so much success as juniors that they get bored and complacent and move on to other challenges like poker, triathloning and tough mudding. |

Alberto Salazar and the Gouchers already have a verbal agreement for Alberto to start training Colt when he starts walking. He'll probably be on a water treadmill for the majority of his training in the first few years before transitioning to the alter-g as he gets older. The goal is for him to take out all the HS records in 15 years. |

He should have to do it under similar circumstances...60's spikes, horned rimmed glasses..anything else is not fair... Lindgren was the best, better than Ritz, better than Webb, better than Solinsky better than the dude from Great bear who runs marathons... Better than them all because he did it in black and white.. none of this fancy, schmancy stuff and he probably did it on an unbanked track, probably was only a 150 meter one at that He was better than Mills to and if he had not had those horned rimmed glasses on would have beat Mills in that 6 mile race where there were 25 lead changes.... This guy won't come close to Lindgrens record..... |
