The first London Marathon was declared a dead heat between Dick Beardsley and Inge Simonson, 2:11:48.

They were not holding hands as the story goes. In his book Beardsley says that each of them was trying to break the other, but couldn't. Their hands touched during the lunge at the finish line.

2007 IHSA (Illinois High School) Girls 4x800 Finals. 2nd place tied at 9:14.1133
