if he's on something now, hows he getting around the blood passport

And over 10 years later still running at the top level winning international races...keep dreaming people.
I'm not sure what the point Lagat cheating at this point in his career would be. If cheating, the risk of getting caught seems to outweigh the benefit of one more year of competition. If caught, it would invalidate his entire career. Why risk that?

LA comeback tours? Same thing. Sucks, I know. I'm a fan of both guys, but reasoning doesn't always apply to these types of people.
LA and Lagat have almost polar opposite personalities.

The point of Lagat cheating is simple: $$$$$
Does one more year really mean that much more money? Just doesn't seem worth it to me. Not saying it makes it impossible, just that it doesn't make sense.

And Rupp makes more $$$$$ than Lagat.

Sure, when you have a career that is more finite than most, one more year of earning solid money makes a difference.
Lagat probably has enough. let's hope he is not too greedy.

Rupp does not want to up his meds in order to beat Lagat. He might up too much. Getting caught would devastate Rupp's fan boys.

Since Rojo was the one who asked the question, "Why isn't Bernard racing Galen" maybe your comment should have been pointed toward his question!
I simply stated that Bernard is a much bigger name in track and field with a mountain more accomplishment and if that question was going to be asked it should have been reversed!
Fair enough. My apologies if my post was directed at the wrong poster.
My point remains that neither of these guys is ducking the other. The thought that they are is just plain silly ROJO!

They both run for Nike. They could both be building interest for a future head-to-head meeting. Works to Nike's advantage, as well as Lagat's and Rupp's.
And we seem to know when that anticipated match-up will be (hint - its gone on over the past few years at the same time of winter)
Lagat isn't on drugs, he's on cold lasers and 'activators'!
They will say anything to provide an explanation for his doped up performances.
(1) Not an American- Galen Rupp should own all thsoe records
(2) Doped to hell- what a joke, an old man runs that fast? not to mention how notorious they are for age cheats- he's probably actually around 42-45? Hilarious. What a farce!
(3) I hope Lagat retires before he is busted and shames Athletics Kenya. I suppose one byproduct is that everyone who claimed him as a real American (desperate much?) will have to admit how wrong they were or face the embarssment.!
I have no idea how ANYONE can support Lagat after the 2004 Olympics where he was a US citizen but ran for Kenyan so he didn't have to sit out.

At this point isn't it plainly obvious that Lagat is on something?
38 years old and performing at the highest level possible. Sounds a little too good to be true doesn't it?
He's not at the highest level possible. Lagat's lost a substantial amount of speed since his prime, and he isn't contending for a world championship anymore. It only looks super impressive because most guys retire young -- Geb has the same exact career trajectory, only he started with less speed.
And I have no problem at all with him running for Kenya. He didn't have to sit out, so he didn't.
You don't have a problem with a USA citizen racing at the Olympics for another country?

Nope.
What a sickening attitude. You are the cause of the sickness that is ravaging America today!

Good for you guys. I think Lagat lacks morals based on his lying to get to the 2004 games under the Kenyan flag while a US Citizen.
