Might depend on your criteria. I just read a few dozen of his text messages about having sex with athletes under his coaching. So I kind of disagree based on that snapshot.
Deadspin has an investigation into the resignation:
The truth is out.
Bump, bump, bump.
Today Deadspin has a lengthy piece on the Hadsell resignation which includes extensive documentation (e.g., text messages) and interviews with numerous team members, past and present. http://deadspin.com/5983592/im-down-for-drinks-laughs-sex-the-sexual-harassment-claims-that-brought-down-toledos-running-coachBut the main points in the Deadspin story were actually revealed on this thread about 3 weeks ago. Of course, that poster was accused of being full of it etc etc. So I just wanted to give some props to IKNOWEVERYTHING for, in fact, knowing everything about this story and sharing it. Turns out you were right, and those who doubted you were wrong. And I rarely have much good to say about the work of Let's Run moderators, but props to them for not deleting that post, which I quote here because it's back a whole bunch of pages ...
The local paper's story...
It appears that the only text messages involved in this case are those one one athletes phone. They're only accessible because she never deleted them.

This isn't actually the case. From a 2012 article on a congressional plan to require storage of this date:
"as of 2010, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint did not store the contents of text messages..."

I hope that all of these ladies get their records for future reference, and furthermore, I would love to see them posted right here so that his defenders will give it a rest, and we can collectively prevent this guy from getting another job where he can prey on others.

Correction: The moderators had deleted the thread, but re-instated it after Deadspin broke the story. So much for them getting one right.
This guy is as bad as Armstrong. Actually I'm going to go out on a limb and say the things he did are worse that Armstrong.
This happens quite a bit in the world of XC & T&F. When you have grown men in charge of nubile young women, trouble is always lurking. Im not saying it's impossible, or defending this guy, but any hetrosexual man would be tempted.
Also the relationship between runner and coach can be so intensely personal that lines get crossed.
If I had a daughter that ran I think I would be paranoid about who was coaching her and rightly so.
New tweet from Kevin Hadsell today: "These bitches is getting truculent."
Big deal. Adults can make choices, it doesn't sound like he was exactly date raping them. Driving the team van drunk, if true, is the serious offense.
I'd like to know how many of the posts in this thread were written by Kevin Hadsell. Some of these posters up in here was getting truculent.
hadsell is a sick dude. that is psychological torture he was inflicting on the team. seriously - hooking up with multiple team members and successfully lying about it for years by convincing everyone else that they are the crazy ones? that story disgusts me. i can't believe toledo didn't figure this out for 15 years.
The texts are undeniable.
However, a lot of claims of favoritism, and other bullshit are questionable.
Coaching for 20 years, it is always the athletes who are not personally invested who cry the most. Better athletes and more successful athletes should get more attention and should get more opportunities.
Do you think a football coach gives a shit about a bench warmer? No. They spend their time and energy on play makers.
So while it generally seems Hadsell is a dirt bag, he was also a decent coach (for a shitty Midwest conference) and probably allocated his time and energy at practice in the right way. Now late at night (some of those texts were at 1am in the morning) he was a shitty coach as he was disrupting a star athlete's rest and recovery.
Remember Clinton was a good president but also got Oval Office bjs.
Now I'm rambling...

True. The other offenses weren't criminal, just a guy being a colossal douche.
Different rules for men. See Bev Kearney/ Major Applewhite at Texas.
I think he should be fired (if he hadn't stepped down ) if charges of driving drunk or giving minors booze are true...Really, those are the serious charges. Having sex with consenting adults really is no big deal. He is a coach of adults, not high schoolers.
Judging from the texts, the man is an idiot, not some evil genius puppet master pitting teammates against each other and vying for his attention. Give me a break. That seems to be mostly the imagination of a jealous, histrionic young woman. He isn't a good dude and doesn't need to be in a leadership role, but come on, really, lady? They make him sound like a master of manipulation.

Not true. The rules are different for having a relationship you with a Student you have authority / control over versus any Student. It is an Authority Role or not that makes them different. Not Male vs Female.

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
