Let's be fair....
If you are a dude who coaches a team called the Rockets, it would be hard not to use your rocket.
It's like coaching the Beavers as a lesbian....

Here is what happened. Coach has always been too close to certain girls on the team. He started seeing one of the girls on the team and her roomate became jealous. Coach crossed the line but probably would have gotten away with it if not for a jealous girl on the team.
That didn't take too long, now did it!

How do you know this?
These posts are happening so quickly that it is clear they are all coming from the same person. I would bet this entire thread is deleted by morning. These posts are clearly someone trying to drag this out.
Seeing? What do you mean seeing?
He sees evefybody at practice everyday.
He doesn;t see anybody
Why has none of this ever came out on the board until now? Same goes with Bev Kearney? If they've been having relationships with athletes for YEARS and everyone knows, why doesn't someone blow the whistle? This is Rule #1 of coaching-- don't mess with your athletes! A thread should be started notifying the public of the coaches who do this, rather than staying hush hush. It shouldn't be tolerated. Recruits need to know too.

Because I am on the team. I intentionally left out names.
Right.
And the cat fights ensue...... meow!

Right.
I wouldn't be so skeptical. What site do you suppose was the first one every athlete on the U.of Toledo team visited the moment this news became public? What are the chances that at least two or three runners on the roster have *not* posted to this thread yet?
Kevin, get off the boards.

Your username is impressively accurate: you're rude, and you also have the stereotypical engineer's inability to pick up inferences in normal conversation. When someone says "Hold on, I'll be back in a sec," do you look at your watch and say "Okay, it's been more than a second, where are you?"
What the guy was clearly suggesting is that the timing of the resignation makes it obvious that this wasn't a minor administrative error or rules infraction. It's something serious, like (as many in this thread are speculating) getting involved with an athlete.
Honestly, his point was clear to everyone except you. But the bigger question is: if you thought he was wrong, couldn't you have expressed that without being such a dick about it?

Don't you think that this was plain from the start? What have I written that makes it appear even remotely likely that I would disagree?
When I see sixteen cop cars and a SWAT team outside someone's house as I'm driving past it, I don't need someone to exclaim "I bet that fellow's done more than not pay a parking ticket!" Evidently people like you and the dipshit you're pinch-hitting or are not so intuitive and have to state explicitly what is patently obvious to everyone else.

I've reviewed the facts:
Uncivil Engineer, you are wrong and cannot argue your way out of this. Let us now get back to the inappropriate sexual relationships in Toledo.

What small minded people think of the value of my argumentation is of no concern to me.
Look -- it's really very simple:

Uncivil Engineer responded:
What if he did something amounting to a firing offense that someone on or associated with the team knew about and threatened to reveal unless he quit?
"hold the phone" then helpfully added:
What the guy was clearly suggesting is that the timing of the resignation makes it obvious that this wasn't a minor administrative error or rules infraction.
As this was virtually identical to what I had already written myself, I asked "What have I written that makes it appear even remotely likely that I would disagree?" at which point you stepped in and, like so many others, went Full Retard on me.

Relationships which none of us are certain actually exist or existed. Good job, knob.

Interesting, because there was no mention of this in any context at Toledo when Hadsell announced his resignation, so how are you so certain that is the exact situation? Please, spare of us of the vague innuendos of knowing more about the situation than you actually do.
I thought you quit ?
Rocket Coach is back tweeting. Talking about a tough 2nd day.
His hashtags will bring his ruputation back, #boom
Everyone, its speculation. You will never know the true story or the details behind everything. Or the pain brought. He broke a university policy. Simple as that. So grow up and get off the message boards. The program is suffering enough without all this petty talk.
