Say what you will, but Lance is, essentially, a retard.
Just like all the other cheats, he just doesn't have what it takes, upstairs.
I repeat: THERE IS NO UBERMENSCH.

I repeat also:
The absolute hallmark of doping is continued stratospheric performance level, in elite competition.
It simply cannot be sustained naturally.
Armstrong, Merritt, Bolt, whatever.
why do you give hundreds of thousands of dollars to a group "you are not a fan of?"
I repeat also:
Another absolute hallmark is seemingly miraculous recovery after injury.

I agree. I don't care what he took. He is a talent and most people in his position would have done exactly the same thing.
He was also doped to the gills. He would have been remembered as an average cyclist if he hadn't doped. Actually, none of us would have ever heard of this "talent" had he not used PEDs.
Can anyone fill me in on why Lance "isn't a fan" of the UCI?
Actually, this interview is almost entirely uninteresting, and unoriginal.
I know many think I'm over the top with my hatred of Lance, but the more I think about him going after people with lawsuits who are telling the truth, the more I think it's even worse than I imagine.
WHat a psycopath.

I Know...it's only the hottest thread on lets run.
There is nothing to the guy. He is incapable of feeling true remorse. He is empty.
...predictable. Oprah isn't Piers Morgan. Not even close.
Get someone knowledgable about elite sporting issues to interview this crook.

Paula Radcliffe
I've only seen the last 20 minutes or so, but I think she's done a pretty good job of making him squirm.
This is so lame. Orpah is a charlatan.
I'm going back to the Te'o story.
Agreed. He really is a very despicable human being. He continues to lie and hedge even on his day or repentance.
I see very little remorse from him and I can just picture him in days to come as being right back to normal.
So it seems to be a problem for him to have paid off the UCI in the tour de Suisse. That's all the way back in 2001. Why is this a legal problem? That's 12 years ago. Switzerland has a longer look back period? Lawyer anywhere here?
What has been missing has been a discussion of the systemic, and sanctioned, nature of doping, in cycling and elsewhere.
It's about MONEY. Follow the MONEY. It's the oldest game in the book, a scam. All that is needed is to find chumps like Lance--and they're a dime a dozen.
Nobody really significant has yet had their involvement detailed.
Haven't read the whole thread, but what does this say about track and field? He mentioned endurance sports and running at least once, so he must have knowledge.
I didn't think I would watch Lance because I really don't like him all that much. But....I know him. Actually know him. Although I have not spoken to Lance in 10 years.....but, I turned the interview on and I am very surprised at how honest he is being.
maybe, just maybe he is sobering up. This is certainly not the Lance Armstrong I know - or knew.....

that's the thing - he isn't doing this out of remorse - he is doing it so he can compete again. Just another thing he has to do to get back in the race.
Probably the best thing for LA as a person would be a lifetime ban. Then he has to think about who he is and what he can do in real life.
Hey, if michael milken can recreate himself in a different field so can LA.
