2010 world junior silver medallist and Penn State senior Casimir Loxsom, who had a subpar junior year last year as he struggled with iron issues, sent a statement out today at the Nittany Lion Challenge as he opened up his individual 2013 campaign with a stellar 1:46.98 clocking at Penn State. Loxsom's previous indoor pr was a 1:47.46 that he ran in 2011, when he'd go on to run 1:45.31 outdoors in placing 5th at NCAAs.
The 1:46.98 clocking is the fastest time by a collegian indoors on a 200 meter track in at least 3 years. No collegian ran that fast on a 200 meter track in 2012, 2011 or 2010, and that's as far back as we can find stats.
Even on oversized tracks, the 1:46.98 mark has only been bettered twice in the last three years. Minnesota's Harun Abda ran 1:46.97 last year and Andrew Wheating ran 1:46.36 in 2010.

If you know the last time a collegiate athlete ran faster than 1:46.98 on a 200 meter track (the NCAA allows oversized tracks to be used), please post it on this thread as we can't find the 2009 or 2009 NCAA POP lists.
