I don't have Adblock turned on because I want to support the site, but you guys have a video autoplaying on every page, which is annoying for several reasons.
One, if you're viewing Letsrun at work, having a video playing in the background uses a lot of bandwidth. Two, I don't want a video player randomly going on in the background all the time. If I wanted to watch a video, I'd click on play.

Can you guys also ban the cars123 guy who posts like 25 times a day with links to all kinds of spam? At least talk him into buying an ad instead of astroturfing the boards. I presume he is paying you since you leave his threads - which is fine, it is your site - but he should know that his effort are fruitless.
Agreed; if you don't want people to use adblock, you need to keep your ads tasteful and non-intrusive. Get them out of here and I'll turn my adblock back off on LRC.

Agreed. Auto play is horrible. Awkward when you accidentally leave your computers sound on at work and load up a letsrun page. Geez!

an interesting question, why would advertisers bother to pay a certain rate if they know most readers are using ad-block?
