i'm doubling! 4 miles in the morning, 8 in the afternoon.
Looks like I'll be shoveling snow for my workout.
14 miles in two runs, one of them is a workout! Merry Christmas
6 miles in the evening, part of a 56 mile week

14.3 km (hilly) @ 5:02, 14° C, sunny & very windy.
6 miles, did it already.
9 on the trails I used to run on near my parents house. Light snow, perfect!
Sore ankles. I'll run tomorrow.
I ran an easy 4.5ish miles this morning at 10:20 am. Was pretty running along rural roads with a dusting of snow. There were a couple of steep hills but otherwise was an easy run. Ran too many tempo runss and races the last couple weeks so trying to take a few easy days to recover.
23 miles at 5:53 pace on the roads. A nice base in the winter leads to a nice 1500 in the spring.
8 miles on the treadmill averaging 4% incline. Bursitis in right knee has it swelled up like a softball so I had to keep the pace slower and use the incline to make the effort harder. Hamstring on same leg has been tight from overdoing speedwork last month and it was twitching some during the run. My 48th birthday is today and it isn't getting any easier!!
Down to the wine cellar twice. The first for an outstanding Sea Smoke Chardonnay while I prepare dinner: standing rib roast, stuffed mushrooms, and roasted potatoes and asparagus. The second for a Plumpjack Merlot....
This is a day off. Since I am not Mo, I will enjoy it and not suffer 15degrees.
Merry Christmas!
Bah --- humbug.

Awesome. I love the quiet and peacefulness. It's a great day for running.
Waking up alone in a depressing hotel in Amsterdam, I headed out for a 10k recovery jog after my last tempo run last night (planned 10k race on the 31st). Unseasonably mild weather, going along at a snail's pace, lovely-----until the last loop of the park when my calf tightens up to the point of sharp pain. Hobbled back to the hotel. A year of great training and poor races climaxes! Heading off to the red light district now to buy some encouragement.
9.3 @ 7:39...10 inches of snow on the ground...

Happy birthday! Yes, you're right, I turned 52 this year.
There were too many to fit in the car so I did...
8 miles to my brothers place before lunch
8 miles home many hours later.
I feel blissfully unbloated, un-drunk and relaxed.
Easy 6 miles on lots of snow.
