This is a very sad story, and not a cliche. When I first started running in 1988, Suzy Favor was my idol. Every girl wanted to look like her, every runner wanted to run like her. She had it all. I saw her at the 1992 U.S. Olympic trials in New Orleans and thought she was so beautiful. Her running form was perect, she was perfect. It just goes to show you that some of us crave that endorphin, adrenalin high. I almsot understand Suzy, and I wish her success in the future. It is sad because of her high profile life, not because of what she did. Something that any of us could have done as just a phase in our lives will forever live with Suzy.
