I didn't read every post on this thread. I had to work and had a short break and checked online when the news broke. The first thing I thought when I saw this on the internet was "holy crap! this is huge and sensational!" But after reading the media stories and thinking more about it I had a feeling that this is too strange. So kudos to you for being the first one to jump in. You win. |

Lots of people have said stuff to this effect here. And certainly what SFH did is unlikely to help her kid. But I think it's too simplistic to conclude that her kid is going to be damaged goods. I don't know about Suzy's parents, but I know some other messed up people who had solid parents (by all accounts, though I guess one never knows). So if solid parents can sometimes yield messed-up kids, why not the reverse? Certainly there are examples of that, no? |
