i'd put the wins on a par with virens. that race had quax, dixon, and others, that was quality. zatopeck's double is no where near the quality, guys of that era were very slow.
those guys with pacing would have gone close to 13 flat in the 5. viren was probably good for a 27 flat in the 10k.
basically the quality of the 5 and 10k now is not at an all time peak, this olympics the fields were void of african super stars and a sub-par bekele.
mo's double was great but not up to the level of a bekele or s gebresalasse and el-g is in another league.
