because I'm curious, what types of jobs do college coaches have in between coaching gigs? sometimes it can take 2-3 years in between college coaching jobs.
insurance sales?
marketing?
construction?

I assumed he would go to Michigan State. I wonder who ends up there. I saw the Wichita State Coach previously mentioned as a possibility.
common thought on msu seems to be steve manz from eastern michigan (alum) or blaine maag from gvsu
grapevine says msu has a slow hiring process
cal's new throws coach is mo from michigan - he seems like a great fit their
Texas women's sprints are loaded. That gonna be a hard 4x4 to make. Men's team is so -so. As they always are. Women's team will carry Texas Track and Field.
Wonder if Texas will pickup a few 800m women also from Buford-bailey coached team
A lot of state universities seem to make the hiring process way too hard. Waiting a certain amount of time before they can even contact people for interviews. This seems to be a little counter productive in the time-sensitive world that we live in. Then there are the jobs that never get posted and the head coach just brings in one of "their guys".
Exactly. It's complete BS.
Has LSU done anything yet ???
What do the distance runners think of the Head Track coach at Western Kentucky?
is this true anyone know for sure??

Agreed! I think Texas 4x200 is going to be able kick butt as well at the next coming Texas Relays! This Texas team is healthy and no baton drop will be able to run with Tx A&M! The 4x100 and 4x200 is going to be tough competiting against Tx AM but the 4x400 is going to be sick! In fact, they have the "man power" to break the NCAA 4x400 record!
I can't wait for cross country to begin and end so that indoor can come around for this fantastic season coming up!
Any news of Central Michigan? They only posted one positon, are the others staying in place?

My understanding is that the coaches are staying in place with the exception of one - which is a multi's/jumps person.
Anyone know anything about about Northwestern State??? There is a job opening posted for them now online.
Coach Johnson retired from Northwestern. Either his son or the Women's Head coach will be the Head Coach.
hmmm. so no Tim Hall huh. I guess we will see him in UK where his athletes will be...lets watch it play out
What the word in the Big Ten? Illinois Purdue?
