Floreal "Knows It All", just ask him! He has to have guys he can control! Just looks who's left: -nothing but ex athletes and a USF dude.
That, or he's making room for his wife on staff.
She'll be gone too, in a yr.

I've heard the EXACT things about Floreal. Out of all of the recent head coaches to build their staffs, Floreal did the poorest job in my opinion. No offense to the current coaches, but he chooses people that have the capacity to serve him. I have a major respect for head coaches who hire assistants that could very well have their job. To me, that's the ultimate sign of security. I predict he will "rent" a top sprints coach who will be there no longer than 2 years no matter how good or bad his or her athletes perform. Only the desperate top distance coaches will consider a non-Academic institution like UK with Floreal at the Helm. If Dunn splitting doesn't concern you then nothing will.
I have to agree. When public records show you have a $340K base salary pool for assistants only, not including managers and operations. I have to agree that Edrick may choose people he could control. That type of pool should have easily lead to some proven and accomplished coaches. You take out Dunn who ditched UK with 17 years coaching experience, you have 4 other coaches with an average of 2 years full-time coaching experience each before joining UK. More power to them, but it does support the Edrick power-trip theory.
MICHIGAN: Clayton to bring some guy named Deigo with him to recruit and do sprints.
Vince the JUCO recruiter.

Ok. State still has a sprint job open. Does anyone have info on this spot? I'll entertain rumors as well.
Dunn left Kentucky because he couldn't handle working with Floreal? Was he suddenly surprised by what happens a daily basis? Dunn has no credibility in this situation. He followed Floreal from Stanford.
There are plenty of people, willing to deal almost anything when the are chasing an opportunity. Dunn chose to be at Kentucky. And the truth is, if Dunn was really all that good he would be the HC at Stanford.
Deigo to Okie State.
Any update on the North Texas distance/cc job? Burroughs is still listed on the website (probably due to a lazy SID).
Lazy SID is an S.O.B.!

You won't see me argue that point one bit. If any coach goes to Stanford and struggles to coach and recruit kids there, then that person is not a coach. Kentucky had plenty of talent ready to go, and the previous distance coaches were incredibly easy and in need of replacement. OU is now an even better setup with all the talent he has waiting to be be coached. I believe Dunn went with guaranteed employment and $80k in Lexington, KY. Not his love for Floreal. Just speculation...

Who is this? Can't find this coach on google
Any update on Central Michigan?
Or who is going to USC with Carol?
If Jason was any good, he wouldn't have been passed over for Stanford head position by another distance coach who is actually younger than him. Now, it appears he has to go back to coaching women again as well as the men. Martin got some good kids, but the truth is, Jason can't coach a bigger group of people. He was the coach during one of the most under-performing reigns in cross country history with those Stanford teams.
Ant to really keep in real, anybody can recruit to Stanford. At any given time, they have over 16 sub-9 guys on their team.
Purdue recently lost coaches to Clemson and USC.
Word is there should be an opening at San Diego State in the coming days. They've had a position open every year the past few years, not to mention seeing a new distance coach every year at Stanford, what's going on down there?

Who left Purdue? Warner?

CarJay to Tennessee?
Elliot to USC.
Thomas to Clemson.
I would love to see Carjay return to Knoxville and get this program on track. He's probably what JJ needs right now. But then again we are talking about JJ, this is probably too smart of a decision for him to make. If the alumni are in your ass, hire an established coaching alum that has had success... Hope this rumor proves to be true!
