Sudbury is following Smith to ISU. Who else is staying on/leaving at ISU and who will the new coach be at OU?

With Travis leaving. They should keep Grant (throws) and dump the rest.

That's fine. Keep getting your rocks off on rumors.
Your concern is noted by all. Thank you for your concern, however, this thread and this forum is specifically designed to keep current and future hopeful coaches "in the loop" in a job market that changes faster than any other industry around. Most of the posts may seem like gossip, however, due to the "anonymous" style of this forum, people who are well informed and often would not be inclined to speak publicly, can actually tip off the coaching community and give valuable heads ups.
Coaches come and go all the time, it's the nature of our business. We need to provide the best situation for our families and our well being. (not unlike any other job) Athletes are aware of this and although they get attached to a coach, they quickly move on. Trust me.
I would recommend any athlete stumbling upon this thread (or frequenting it for that matter) to consult their coach if they see their names pop up here. If the coach is not in a position to speak candidly with that athlete, that then becomes the decision of that coach, simple as that.
Any word on Clemson? Has there been talk of a front runner for the job? Are they looking at any assistants?

Yes, the frontrunner is now coaching at USC

Pete Rea? He is a UConn grad. But I thought they needed a sprints/jumps type coach...not a distance coach?
I don't think so. I was phone interviewed for the job and Coach Roy was clear it was for mid distance and distance and that who ever got the job would be in every aspect the cross country coach.
Now I don't know if I moved on or not so I can't say more.
I think he meant Vanhoy who used to intern at ZAP and who's job was posted for Northeastern last week. I doubt Pete will ever leave ZAP.
Anyone know who the front runners are for the sjsu job?
Why would Vanhoy leave the opportunity to coach Erik Jenkins? He isn't going anywhere.
probably to get a better coaching gig.
Well Vanhoy's job was posted or they have the ability to bring in another full time asst. XC/TF coach for the upcoming year. My guess is he's filled a job that hasn't been released yet that we continue to ask questions about.
No way he gets hired at Tennessee. JJ will hire one of his friends. Don't think he is that close to Garfield although he has been trying to campaign for the coach who left job for a while.
Wait and see.
Anyone have any insight to who might get hired as assistants at Iowa St,USC,Boise,UCF, there's been a bit of movement with coaches changing schools but no chatter about where people might go.I think Clemson is has missed out on some great hires and will probably get a random pick now.
Fletcher Brooks from Oklahoma to Iowa State.
LOL Any New Front Runner for Clemson yet?
Cincinnati?
Clemson put all of thier eggs in one basket and that basket went to USC. Know they have gone quiet that means they are not making any moves. We need a fly on the wall.
Clemson a distance coach plying for every job under sun, so he must not get good vibe regarding current staff staying on. I guess they must be waiting and hoping admins just retains them for at least a year until they figure out who to go after next.

He has only applied/interviewed at Toledo.
Heard rumors over the weekend that Clemson and Oklahoma could announce decision as early as today. Guess we will wait and see what they do.
