Mis-allocating scholarships? To a pretty hefty sum? How does a coach mis-allocate a scholarship? Please explain. And before you do, remember that any NCAA violation would have resulted in a public acknowledgment by the university. You must mean Cal because he hasn't been a head coach since. And no coach can give out a scholarship of any kind without the consent of the compliance office and AD. Other people sign the aid agreement and those people track all scholarships. It's their job to know exactly what is being spent and what is left to spend. You can't go over your limit without other people also screwing up. And Cal isn't fully funded. Which means even if he had he gone over his institutional limit, it is very unlikely he could have gone over his NCAA equivalency limit. So fill me in on the juicy details.
I love it when people make vague comments like, "and a few other shady situations that were not malicious, just shady." Can you name one concrete thing from his "tainted past" that is verifiable in any way?
