Exactly! It's very hard and agonizing for the current team no doubt. But how could he put Martin in a recruiting role and coach out the year with his current athletes and at the same time recruiting? When he was not going to be their coach?
Well, it could have been handled that way for the current team. Like at Oregon when they hired Martin Smith and Bill Dellinger was pushed out. Dellinger stayed and coached all his remaining athletes for a year.
I would think that Croy would consider a similar transition but he didn't. And Tiffin University isn;t Oregon.
