False. But, in the spirit of the season, I will move on.
In addition to Allen (who ran very well in the M-A Regional) and Johnson (who, alas, did not in the NE) I consider Allen's running mate Pope, Navy's Galvin and the Bison's Dugan - all of whom finished in the top 30 or so in the M-A Regional - to be interesting to watch this winter and spring.
I am also interested in recruiting. Last February, the Patriot League announced it would allow athletic scholarships for football essentially equivalent to the rest of the (non-Ivy) DI schools. What impact has this had (or will this have) on XC and T&F. To my knowledge, no Patriot League school offers scholarships in T&F but I could be wrong. Will the football scholarship decision limit the money available for need-based aid to T&F athletes? Will some schools be inclined to offer athletic scholarships to more women's sports to stay compliant with Title IX? Which one's? How much? Anybody out there see developments along these lines?
