more like half your age - 7
My age - my age + 12
I'd say so..but it must be adjusted the younger you are, obviously.
A huge difference between a 30-year old and a 22-year old in terms of maturity...and a little odd seeing a 25-year old with a sophomore in college.
I remember being 25 and I was once invited to a party with the majority being 18-20 year old "kids" and just wanting leave after 20 minutes.
I'm 38 and would have no problem going 19.
16 will get you 20 (maximum security prison).
It's still too generous in my opinion. It says me, a grad student (22) could date a high schooler (18). Too generous.

LOL.
Really, though, I think this is too generous, at least at my age. I'm 33 and dating a 25 year-old right now. Too young for anything serious. Can't imagine a 23. Well, I can. But you see what I'm saying.
Works for me. I am 45 and generally i am with 28-32 year olds.
Sounds like he's saying no matter how old he is, 12 years old and up is A-OK

That's not a big deal. Loosen up.

22 and 18 could also be college freshman and senior, which isn't that weird. It gets too generous as you get older though; I'm 24 and can't imagine seriously dating a 19 year old. On the extreme end, it says an 80 year old could date a 47 year old.
Date women and not girls and you won't need an algorithm.
To each his own.

I just laughed so hard. Thank you good sir.
A straight "my age - 7" probably works best for me.

If you were 19, would you go for a 38-year-old? Just curious.

I would. Age is just a number. Relationships are really a case-by-case basis, not something that you should ever make a rule-of-thumb for.
This would probably mean that most of you are dating girls aged 14-16.

There is nothing wrong with that.
