Did you have a reason for shooting the bear.
8.5 is plausible, as is anywhere from 7-10 seconds. The Cheetah only runs 6.00 seconds for the 100m, and accelerates in maybe 2-3 seconds to a much higher top speed.

I'm not impressed by the bear's speed, and definitely not by it's acceleration. Sheep aren't overly fast.
