Can't wait for the Bates v Bowdoin DMR duels.
bowdoin over bates when it comes to the DMR this year.
Bowdoin lost their 1600 leg Hillard though, and the Bates team didn't lose anyone. Coby should more than fill Hillard's shoes, but then who will run the 12? Coby was dropping sub-3s last year, no one else on the team could touch that. I don't see Seekins being a great miler, but that might be their best option.
^^^ He's not wrong.
There will be a # of strong DMR teams in this region this year; Amherst, Middlebury, Tufts, Southern Maine. I also could be missing a couple of other schools. Should be fun to watch.
Dom Kone. That is all.

Bowdoin brought in James Sullivan, who was ran 4:15 last year in high school. He didnt run in xc, so I am not sure if anything is up. He should be suitable if healthy although not quite on Hillards level.
yes, Kone will dominate.

Who replaces Tim Even on USM's DMR?
my best guess would be...
1200 - manning
400 - any joe schmo
800 - desmond
mile - gazzeloni
1200-Manning (800 All-American)
400-Will Wegener (sub 50)
800-Desmond (whose gone 1:54 before)
1600-Gazzeloni (Indoor nats last year. Vast improvement in XC this year)
DMR's will be sick. aside from steven's point, i could see these NE teams dominating
1. Bowdoin-
Seekins/Sullivan/Any sub 1:56 800 guy
?
?
Coby
2. Midd
Hebbel
?
?
Davies
3. Tufts
4. MIT
Bullock
Springer
Marks/Mattocks
Hannon
5. Bates
Baron
Levy
Lepage
Hannon
5. USM
Manning
?
Desmond
Gazelloni
7. Springfield
Salvucci
?
?
O'Connel
Also, Coby could contend with Sullivan for mile title, Davies may be in the mile too. Lots of good 800 guys, Tully and LeDuc could do well for NE in the 5.

Salvucci doesn't run anything less than 3000m--he says mid-d is for pusssies. O'Connell is a 3:51 1500 guy so he'll be there probably in the mile. Look for Pietras who represented them in the steeple at Nats last spring in the 1200, Pinciak who dropped a couple mid-1:50s and was their 6th man in XC and some other 400 guy, or perhaps Scully who is also a decent mid-distance guy. I don't know what the standards are this year, but they probably have a good shot at the b standard, though they won't be in the conversation for best in New England.
Top NE Milers?
Horowitz
Davies
Grimes
Gazzelloni
McCloksey
Hannon
Hebble
all look good based off of last year's results.

There haven't been A/B standards since 2011. Starting last year it was completely based on national ranking. Certain sites still listed the old standards, but they just take whoever the top 13 individuals and top 10 relays are.
Also I believe Graboys was Bates' mile leg last year when they placed 3rd at nationals. I would think Hannan will likely focus on the 5k.
Connor Rose is coming back for a 5th year for outdoors.
Changing the subject -- Williams Women poised to dominate NE Div III once again! Go Ephs!
Any teams opening up this weekend?
not sure the USM distance guys have it like they used to after seeing their cross country times at regionals.
