Whatever the problem was, it's fixed now. it says "converted from 5091." a back-office problem at TFRRS, perhaps.
Damn, this meet looks like it'll be a thriller, with both titles genuinely up for grabs.
Meet entries are up on HTC:
You all are better at assessing them than I am; anything strike your eye?
Based on the briefest skimming of the entries, the Princeton guys look tough. Also, 26 entrants in one section of the 5,000m--ow.
No Hale in open events. Maybe relay?
Salander in the dash, hurdles, shot put. No Pent.
Franklin in hurdles, 200.
D'Ag in mile and 5k.
Hollimon, Hortelano-Roig, Hairston, Hopkins, Spooney in 400.
Dinkins, Admirand in 500.
Weidlandt and PAsternostro in 800.
Wade, Williams (Pr), Shirvell in 1000.
Callahan, Wade, Feigan, Berg in mile.
Korolev in 3k.
Leakos in 5k.
Montez Blair doing HJ and LJ.

Just what I was hoping for, fun.! Thanks for all your work.
(I appreciate the "1609" as well!)
I figured the men's meet would be tight... thanks for that analysis, fun. It will be interesting to see how some of those "ties" you have due to people's PRs actually get broken. Four-way tie for 1st in the dash? I wonder if it will be another 0.001 difference between 1st and 2nd.
If anyone here has a twitter account, I'll be there doing twitter updates. Use the #iHeps in the search. I'll do my best to keep everyone up to speed on the rounds (including the field events).
Does anyone know the status of Columbia's Liam Tansey, this year?

At HTC, the following info was posted:
Men’s day-one scores after four events (advancers in parentheses):
1. Harvard, 32 (4)
2. Cornell, 31 (13)
3. Princeton, 25 (14)
4. Dartmouth, 20 1/2 (5)
5. Columbia, 7 (7)
6. Yale, 5 1/2 (2)
7. Penn, 2 (5)
8. Brown, 1 (8)
Cornell and Princeton both got a ton of guys through the trials--should be another dual meet tomorrow.
Women’s day-one scores after five events (advancers in parentheses):
1. Cornell 35 (8)
2. Harvard 29 (10)
3. Princeton 26 1/2 (10)
4. Columbia 22 (7)
4, Dartmouth 22 (5)
6. Brown 12 1/2 (2)
7. Penn 4 (6)
7. Yale 4 (2)
Harvard women look tough, *but* Cornell will have five entrants in the 3,000m, looking to score major points. Columbia seems to have too many gaps this time (personnel missing?), especially without a healthy Hale in open events. Princeton will be in it right until the end.
I was looking at the event schedule and results and noticed that the women do not run the 500, 1000 and DMR. They do run the 4 x 800 though. The men do all of the IC4A events. I am guessing the women's coaches voted to just do the NCAA events at some point, but why run the 4 x 800 and not the DMR? Do the women have the 33 person limit like the men? This makes for two completely different meet strategies for the coaches. Seems very odd.
I'm not sure why only selective events for the women. But beginning next year, the men and women will be competing in the same events (dropping men's 500, 1000; adding men's 200; adding women DMR; dropping 4x800 for both) in order to match the NCAA lineup. Yeah, it seemed like the disapprovers were more vocal than the approvers of the new lineup. I felt they should have kept the 4x800 and implement all of the other changes.
CORNELL MEN WIN BY 1 POINT OVER PRINCETON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS--Marry me Will Weinlandt
Guys who do you think is hotter: 800 meter stud Will Weinlandt or mens track MVP Nick Wade?!!!
congrats to Cornell. Here are the rankings for Outdoor! Too Soon? lol

SIDE NOTE: Based on my indoor rankings Princeton underperformed by 14 pts whereas Cornell only underperformed by 1 pt.
fun. , why do you only do men's teams' projections? How about them women?!

As has been mentioned on this thread--and I can verify, from having done much less labor-intensive projections--fun.'s projection involve a *lot* of work. If you would care to do similar work for the women, it would be greatly appreciated!

WHAT A MEET!
There was basically no stopping the talent that the Harvard women brought. I thought the Big Red gave a noble effort, though--H probably "should" have won by a wider margin. Cornell just had too many holes in their lineup this time. (A year ago, who'd've thought the Big Red wouldn't have had a 4x8 team fighting for the win this year?)
The men? Unbelievable. A measure of Princeton's talent level is that Cornell had inspiring performances in virtually every event of Day Two, yet was only able to edge the Tigers by a single point.
Lots of emotion for the Big Red. The image of Nick Wade, in tears after the team win was announced, is going to stay with me.
Two small items:
1) Harvard has *got* to put more seating in the Gordon track facility--somehow--to accommodate this meet. Just not enough space in the existing bleachers to handle even the skinny butts of the athletes, families, alumni, and fan who were there. The place was packed, and then some.
2) fun., I don't think you have Cornell's Robert Robbins listed in the outdoor preview. He threw the javelin 221ft (I believe) last year, while at Kent State.
Oh I so agree on the seating! But man, you got to love how the echos from all of the cheering just makes the meet that much more intense! :-)
I was nearly crying when I first read that Harvard women won, and then I promptly had fun doing my little happy dance. Awesome weekend.
But there were awesome performances on both sides! In a way, I'm somewhat glad that they broke out the MVPs into track and field as it would have been just too hard to declare 1 for each meet.
I have to say, I feel that the sophomores and frosh did VERY well at this meet, in particular, Penn surprised me. Sure, they might not have earned a lot of points compared to the depths of Cornell and Princeton, but they got guys to score in the 800 (3), 500 (5 - Timmins), 3000 (5 - Awad), HJ (2-4), and place pretty well in the 4x400.
