Quote from the article:
"According to Runner's World senior writer John Brant, Salazar's success with Rupp and Farah has led African athletes to approach Salazar about coaching them, including a down-low contact from the Bekele brothers, Kenenisa and Tariku. Salazar mentioned this to Rupp, whose response, according to Brant, was "Aren't those the guys we're trying to beat?""
Rupp you're confusing me with that quote a little bit...um don't you realize Farah is both African and he runs for a different country than you? Why would it bother you to have your coach coaching runners from Ethiopia and not someone running for Britain? Mo Farah is one of those "guys" that you're trying to beat, he's what prevented the US from winning a Gold Medal in the 10000m at London!
Anyway, how sick would that be if Salazar actually did coach the Bekele brothers? I think that would be awesome. Kenenisa Bekele would finally be able to train without getting injured as often and perhaps we'd see him in more races in America. Also, with all of Salazar's fancy equipment etc, I think it would be safe to say that Kenenisa's talent combined with that could easily see him run world records on the track again.
I hope it actually happens
