14:00
14:00 sounds about right. Maybe even faster.
The question says it all about you because it doesn't equal anything
Different courses, weather conditions etc

A criminal and a drunk.
Glad he committed suicide before he killed an innocent person.
It it was run on a short D3 course, probably 15 minutes. If it was a legitimate course, 14 minutes.
If you're racing a 5k on a track, and get lapped, can you still come back to win?????

A state trooper would say Prefontaine most likely drank and drove 250 to 500 times like that in his life before he crashed and died. We're not talking about a guy who slightly misjudged his alcohol use. Prefontaine was a reckless fool.
14:10-14:20 seems like a reasonable range. This depends on the accuracy of distance and relative difficulty of the 8000m course in question, obviously.
Most race equivalent calculators will say that 24:00 equals something in the 14:30-14:40 range for 5k. You're going to cut down quite a bit of time by going to the track, and I estimate that to be about 20 seconds.

And Bowerman would urinate on his runners.
what does a 23:50 8k at 7554ft convert to? and on that note i had no idea ol boy was getting his Phd from harvard....and all you haters saying "adams state is weak academically, and i went to top tier D1 school"....but are you now getting a Phd from harvard?
Can't completely say, courses are different. Better way to figure it out is look at the other runners that ran 24 flat on that course, or near that. How fast have these runners run 5k in the past? Maybe they're a little faster now than they were in track last spring, so take off a little bit of time (5-10 seconds).
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
